Brhaddhvani holds in its archives, some of the most valuable records of music renderings as well as critical research material pertaining to music and music education. Among many others are some rare collections of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman’s repertoire and how he taught, Sri K.V.Narayanaswamy, Sri.T.N.Thyagarajan, Smt.Bhushani Kalyanaraman, Sri Kulkarni and others.
